  • Crunching, and finishing the damn game already

I have been making an effort to work on Rock Paper Missiles for at least two hours a day for these last couple weeks, and it is starting to pay off. Having an actual schedule for working on the game has given me a clearer vision of what the finished game is going to look like and I don’t think it will disappoint. There was a lot of features I wanted to add to the game but just won’t be able to because there isn’t much time left, but I think all the core features I wanted to have in the game will make it through.

Initially I was hoping to have the game finished by Spring, but it’s looking more like a Summer release now. The game should be finished in the next month or two and shortly after that I will prepare to release it on the App Store.

  • Exponential Invasion redesign put on hold

In favor of finishing other projects, I am putting the Exponential Invasion redesign on hold. I‘m still actively working on Rock Paper Missiles and the new version of Crafter, and I will return to Exponential Invasion once those projects are finished.

  • The Game Design and Industry Collection

Recently, the Flipboard app for iPhone, iPad, and Android introduced an update that allows users to create their own magazines using articles on the web. I’ve taken it upon myself to start a magazine. I’ll be adding industry news, developer stories, and interviews that could be useful or informative to people who make video games.

It is called The Game Design and Industry Collection, and you can subscribe by clicking this link: http://flip.it/7WEr9

  • Exponential Invasion redesign coming May 3rd

On May 3rd 2012, Exponential Invasion was released. This game is still my greatest creation and I want to be able to keep working on it in the future. I don’t believe in release dates anymore, because a game is never truly finished. We live in a digital world where everything can be changed and nothing is permanent.

To celebrate the release of Exponential Invasion, I am introducing a redesign that will allow me to add more levels to the game easily and effortlessly, while also making the game easier to navigate. This update will be free to everyone who has purchased the game and more levels will follow in the coming months. Please follow my Twitter for quick updates on the project as well as news regarding future games.
